The points-based system that provides highly skilled foreign professionals with preferential immigration treatment is going to start.

An Italian man visiting New York said he spent the night in jail when he forgot his wallet and was unable to pay a $208 tab.

Graziano Graziussi, 43, said he was preparing to pay his bill at Smith and Wollensky when he realized he had left his wallet at the apartment where he had been staying, the New York Post reported Friday.
Graziussi said workers refused to accept his iPhone as collateral to allow him to retrieve the wallet. He said they instead called police.
"I found it completely unreasonable to call the police when I was coming up with possible solutions," he said. "I wasn't going to run away. I was there. I had just forgotten my wallet. "
Graziussi said he was taken into custody when he told police he was unable to have anyone deliver the wallet.
He was released the following morning after promising a judge he would pay the bill.
"I don't think they should have arrested me in the first place," Graziussi said. "I wanted to pay the check."

The first nationwide study to break down domestic violence rates by self-identified sexual orientation has found that lesbian and bisexual women are at higher risk than straight women, with bisexual women facing especially high rates.

The study [PDF], conducted by the CDC in 2010 and released Friday, found that 35% of straight women had experienced rape, physical violence, or stalking by a partner at some point in their lives. But 43.8% of lesbian women had experienced one of the three, as had a full 61.1% of bisexual women. Researchers interviewed a total of 9,709 women — 96.5% of them identified as straight, 2.2% as bisexual, and
1.3% as lesbian.

 Bisexual women were also the most likely to have been raped by anyone, partner or not — 46.1% of them had experienced rape at some point, compared with 13.1% of lesbian women and 14.7% of straight women. And they were more likely to report that domestic violence had negatively impacted their lives — 57.4% of bisexual women who'd experienced violence said they also suffered aftereffects like missing work or having symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. Only 33.5% of lesbian women and 28.2% of straight women said the same.
Most domestic violence against bisexual women appeared to be committed by male partners — 89.5% of bisexual participants who'd experienced such violence said the only perpetrators had been male.

• Pre-arrival clearance of the Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security  of Vietnam or from the Consular Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam (if any).

• Visa fee.

2. Diplomatic and Official Visa:
2.1. Holders of Diplomatic Passports and Official Passports of the Government, Diplomatic or Consular Missions who are going on official missions are exempted from visas or visa fees. This practice is subject to reciprocal agreements between Vietnam and the concerned countries. In addition to the documents specified in (1.4), the applicant must submit a note verbal or an official letter from a relevant agency of the Government, an Embassy or a Consulate accredited to Bangladesh or an international organization.
2.2. According to the Consular Agreement (1999) between Vietnam and Bangladesh, Bangladeshi Holders of Diplomatic/Official and International Passports with "official" seal are exempted from visa to visit Vietnam during period of less than 90 days.

3. A visa pre-approval clearance:
• According to the documents specified in (1.4), the applicant must provide a visa pre-approval(1) obtained through his/her sponsor(2) in Vietnam. The Embassy will issue visas only upon approval issued by the Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam or by the Consular Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.
• If the applicant does not have a host/sponsor in Vietnam, he/she may contact the Embassy for assistance.

4. Processing Time:
• 5 working days for normal visa application.
• 2- 3 working days for urgent visa (additional fee required).

Ⅰ Visa procedures

1. How to get and fill out the “Visa application forms”
 (1) The Japanese visa application forms are distribute at Embassy gate on every working day and also you can get it on the following webpage http://www.bd.emb-japan.go.jp/en/visa/visaapplication.pdf  or you can find it through internet search, searching words are “Japan visa form”
(2) The forms must fills it out completely (refer attachment 1)
(3) The photos should use 2 inch x 2 inch, taken within 6-months (refer attachment 2)

2. How to apply for visa
(1) Hours of submission is 9:30 to 11:30 on every working day by the applicant.
(2) Submit your application with documents specified in the attachment 3.
(3) You will receive an " application receipt" when you submit your application.
(4) We may deny if you do not submit all documents required or 6 months have not passed since your last visa refusal.
(5) It is highly recommended to apply for visa well in advance of your travel.

3. How to attend Interview
(1) Interview time will be held at same time of your submission of application.
(2) At the end of the interview, you will be instructed on how to collect your passport.
(3) This information is written on the application receipt as well.

4. How to get back your passport
(1) We deliver your passport and return submitted all original documents 14:30 to 15:30 on the instructed day
(2) You have to submit an application receipt for your passport return
(3) If you send someone else to pick up, prepare the application receipt and authorization with your valid signature

Ⅱ Multiple visaIf you have a purpose to frequent visit to Japan, extents each stay less than 90days and without reward activities. We offer you a multiple visa for 1 year, prepare following extra requirements with your applications, (i) Reason letter (mentioning necessity, frequency of visit and your social status, etc), (ii) Proof documents for reason letter. 

Ⅲ Non residence applicationWe do not receive if the applicants are not residence in Bangladesh or not Bangladesh nationals.

-Even the applicants is Bangladesh nationals but who lives in other country and documents are almost issued by residence country it could be take long time for documents vilification.

-Any humanity case could be accepted, even if you are not residence in Bangladesh, contact the Embassy.

 Ⅳ Visa Fee
 No fee for Bangladesh national. Other national, ask the Embassy.

Apply For Nepal Visa

1)Tourist visas  can be obtained on arrival  at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. and designated entry points in Nepal...

2)Any one willing to obtain visa at the Embassy has to follow the following procedures:

a.Nepali Visa Application Forms are accepted everyday from Sunday to Thursday from 9:30 am to 10:30am.Visa application form not signed by the applicant and without photo will not  be entertained.
b.It normally takes one working day to process visa.
c.Diplomatic and official visas are issued on the basis of official written communication.

3)Visa Application Form is available free of charge from the Embassy Visa Gate from 9:00am to 10:30 am.

4)Following Documents are required with Visa Application:
a.  Recent passport size photograph ( 01 copy ) and passport photocopy.
b.  For “Business” passport holders: Original  Trade License (notarized and with English translation) & valid Bangla Trade License ( photocopy) and visiting card.
c.   For “Private Service” passport holders: Recommendation letter from the employer and employer’s English translated & notarized Trade License (Original) & valid Bangla Trade License  (photocopy) and visiting card and Valid ID Card photocopy.
d.   For “ Student” passport holders : Valid original student ID Card & last Educational Certificate (attested photocopy) or a recommendation letter from the College/University.
e.     For “Group Visa”: Submission of a name list with passport numbers on a College/University/ official letter pad with recommendation from department head (with official seal and signature of the Department head). That letter has to be faxed to the Embassy before submission of  the application.

5) Visa application forms once rejected will not be returned to the applicant.

6) No visa enquiry by telephone is entertained. If you are looking for additional information, please contact the Visa Desk in person. at the visa hour

7) Visa Fees:
a. Tourist visas for the nationals of SAARC Countries are  issued free of charge for the first VISA in one visa year ( 01 January to 31 December) and the second visa in the same year will be subject to a visa fee.

b. The fees for the issuance of Tourist Visas to the Foreigners and Second Visa for SAARC Countries in the same VISA year are as follows:
1. For 15 Days Multiple Entries Tourist Visa Taka – 2200.00
2. For 30 Days Multiple Entries Tourist Visa Taka – 3500.00
3. For 90 Days Multiple Entries Tourist Visa Taka – 9000.00

The New Zealand Yellow Pages are building a restaurant 10 meters up on a redwood tree. It is now under construction on a site north of Auckland. This tree restaurant is designed by Pacific Environments Architects. This treehouse concept gives you an expression of childhood dreams and fairy tales. It is inspired by the chrysalis/cocoon safeguarding the emerging butterfly/moth. It has a 60m tree-top walkway getting you up to the restaurant and inside there’s ample space for 18 seating people and staff and complete with a bar. The kitchen and the toilet will be located at the ground level. The acrylic sheeting fixed to the roof under the fins to get the protection for tough weather conditions.
The concept is driven by the ‘enchanted’ site which is raised above an open meadow and meandering stream on the edge of the woods.
The tree-house concept is reminiscent of childhood dreams and playtime, fairy stories of enchantment and imagination . It’s inspired through many forms found in nature -the chrysalis/cocoon protecting the emerging butterfly/moth, perhaps an onion/garlic clove form hung out to dry. It is also seen as a lantern, a beacon at night that simply glows yet during the day it might be a semi camouflaged growth, or a tree fort that provides an outlook and that offers refuge.The plan form also has loose similarities to a sea shell with the open ends spiraling to the center .

Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain was present as the selection was made through lottery system at Eskaton on Wednesday.He said the winners would be notified through SMS to the cell phone numbers they had provided while getting registered.According to him, the first lot of workers will leave Bangladesh for Malaysia in the first week of March.

Of the selected, 3,646 were from Dhaka division, 2,287 from Chittagong, 1,551 from Rajshahi, 1,362 from Rangpur, 761 from Barisal, 1,279 from Khulna and 873 from Sylhet.Malaysia decided to hire workers from Bangladesh after a pause of five years. The two countries signed a deal in this regard on Oct 22 last year.Now workers can travel to Malaysia for work only under the government-to-government arrangement.

“A total of 30,000 workers will be sent to Malaysia. As many as 10,000 will go in the first phase, followed by the second phase of 20,000.”
The first batch of workers was selected from 34,500 applicants selected randomly through online lottery.

Recently UAE govt. stoped providing visa for Bangladeshi Citizen.Nobody can go to UAE by working visa right now.It's really hard to get other category visa too.Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA) Thursday said that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has stopped renewing visa for Bangladeshi workers and also reduced issuing new ones, reports UNB.

"The UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, has not been renewing work visas of Bangladeshis after expiry of their employment contracts since the last week and also reduced issuing new visas since then," BAIRA president M Shahjalal Majumder told the news agency.

Malaysia will recruit Bangladeshis for five years in three phases - the first phase will be two years, the second two years and the third one year.

The migration cost will be Tk 40,000 each for the purposes of skill test, 10 days' pre-departure training, medical test, air fair, welfare fees and other related expenditures.

Each worker will get a minimum salary of Tk 25,000 (900 Malaysian ringgit) per month, free accommodation and meal.
